Now accepting early customers
Understand how your heating and cooling are performing.
We install monitoring equipment on your existing HVAC system, personally review potential issues, and send you useful updates. There's no dashboard to watch.
Currently enrolling customers in North Carolina and South Carolina. Installation availability depends on location and system compatibility.
What's included
One subscription per home covers the equipment, the monitoring and the people reviewing it.
Personally reviewed alerts
We collect supported operating data from your system and review potential issues before contacting you, by email or text, whichever you prefer.
A useful monthly report
At least once a month, a short report with a useful insight about how your home's heating and cooling are running.
Installation included
We install the monitoring equipment, which remains Comfort Utility's property. There's no setup fee.
Our purpose is to make home comfort more understandable, reliable and affordable.

- Step 3
Installation and activation
We install the monitoring equipment and confirm it's working. Billing starts only after that.
- Step 4
Monitoring and reports
We review potential issues before contacting you, and send your monthly report.
Pricing
$10 USD a month per home, including up to two HVAC systems, plus applicable taxes.

|---|---|
| 3 systems | $13 USD/month |
| 4 systems | $16 USD/month |
What counts as a system
An indoor unit and the outdoor unit it works with normally count as one system. Several thermostat zones don't necessarily mean several systems. We confirm the count with you before enrollment.

Questions
Will it work with my system?
It works with HVAC equipment that uses standard thermostat control wiring, in a home with working Wi-Fi and internet access. Proprietary communicating systems that don't use standard thermostat wiring aren't currently supported.
You don't need to check your wiring or open any equipment. We confirm compatibility before scheduling.
Where do you install?
We're currently enrolling customers in North Carolina and South Carolina. Installation availability depends on location and system compatibility, and we'll confirm both when you send a request.
What will my monthly report tell me?
Each month you'll get a summary with at least one useful insight about how your home's heating and cooling are operating.
When a report says no issues were detected, it means none were found in the available monitoring data. It doesn't certify that the equipment is free of faults, and if data is missing or the connection is down, we say so rather than report normal operation.
How do I cancel?
Email wes@comfortutility.com before your next renewal. There's no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Cancellation stops future renewals, and service continues through the period you've already paid for. We go by the time your email arrives, not when we get to it.
Who owns the monitoring equipment?
Comfort Utility does. After you cancel, we'll arrange a time to remove it, so please don't disconnect it yourself. Your billing ends with your cancellation, not when the equipment is picked up.
What can't monitoring do?
Monitoring depends on power, internet connectivity and the sensor data available. It can't detect every problem or guarantee your equipment won't break down. A person reviews potential issues, so alerts aren't instant and there's no 24/7 staffed support. It isn't an emergency service, a repair service, or a substitute for regular HVAC maintenance.
Is there an app or dashboard?
No. There's nothing to log in to or watch. We review the data and send you what's useful.
Can I use it for a second home or a rental?
Yes. It suits a home you aren't in every day, as long as it has working Wi-Fi and compatible equipment. Landlords and property managers can use the same form; tell us about the properties in your message. Pricing is per home.
